Vanessa is a folk-soul songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in northern Oregon. Making music has always been a part of who Vanessa is and she describes it as the most human thing she knows how to do. Her sound moves fluidly from quiet, tender folk to bold, soulful rock ballads.

Vanessa performs as a solo artist but is an active collaborator in the Portland music community. She and singer-songwriter Jackson Warner perform together as The Long Drive, an acoustic duo built on rich two-voice harmony. She also plays keys and back up vocals for Jackson’s seven-piece rock band The Damn Well Please and will be joining Maggie Ray and The Last Wild Ones in September, 2026.

If you enjoy listening to the likes of Brandi Carlile and Joy Oladokun, Vanessa Devin could be the next artist to add into your musical rotation. Consider booking Vanessa for your coffee shop, listening room, wedding, private event, festival or house show. Sets can be tailored to the mood and occasion.
